Dragnet Task Force shredded 7 illegal street racing vehicles On Tuesday, May 13, 2008, seven (7) cars that were impounded during illegal street racing enforcement were destroyed pursuant to a court order. Officers from the statewide Dragnet task force were available to answer questions in reference to illegal parts and racing modifications prior to their destruction.
 7 cars were put through the shredder and reduced to a pile of metal; they won't be racing again!

Riverside PD keeps the message clear On May 1st and 15th, 2008 we had the opportunity to watch Sgt. Skip Showalter of the Riverside Police Department conduct an assembly at Romona and Norte Vista High Schools regarding the dangers of street racing.
Also speaking was Trais Hand, a street racer that killed a wheelchair-bound mother (Reyna De Leon) in front of her children on October 26, 2006. Renya's brother John also spoke at the assemblies. F.A.S.T. Foundation for Automotive Safety and Trends We are pleased to announce that we have founded a new nonprofit organization known as F.A.S.T.
Our mission statement is:
To protect lives and property by providing education and outreach to both the private and public sector in automotive safety, theft prevention, fraud detection, emerging trends, and street racing.
We will keep you updated over the upcoming months and look forward to announcing many exciting programs that we hope will make a difference now and in the future.
