Bypass Video AvailableWe have received numerous requests for the video we produced for our training sessions demonstrating 3 techniques used to bypass an immobilizer system. We are making this video available on our site for law enforcement and the SIU communities. This video is not meant to be a stand alone module or all inclusive. It is intended as a training aid. We use it during our workshops and seminars to discuss how some systems are bypassed and what evidence is left behind. Click here to access it.
Automotive TrendsImports overtake the Big 3 in the United States Import vehicles represented the largest percent of the new vehicles registered in the U.S. While domestic vehicle sales have been down, import sales have been up. In the month of July Honda overtook DaimlerChrysler. Soaring gas prices have helped, however the import over domestic trend has been gaining for some time now. Because of the successful switch to sport and sub-compacts such as the Mini, Scion xB, Honda Fit and Toyota Yaris, GM recently announced it will sell the next-generation Opel Corsa in the United States. The Saturn brand already features several Opel-desighed cars. Many of these sport and sub-compact cars are heavily customized and are more prone to fraud based on the Gen-Y factor.
Sport Compact Events:For the month of October there will be events in AZ, CA, OH, OR, and TX. Go to www.TheFastAndTheFraudulent.com for more details.
